Escape the hustle of Marrakech and join us on a scenic shared day trip to Imlil, a picturesque Berber village nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. This full-day adventure includes comfortable transport, a guided village walk, a traditional lunch in a local home, and optional activities such as camel riding, mule trekking, and quad biking.
You’ll journey through stunning valleys, meet local Amazigh (Berber) communities, and get a taste of authentic mountain life. Whether you’re into gentle hiking, trying local cuisine, or opting for fun extras like camel riding, mule trekking, or quad biking, this day is tailored to give you a true slice of Moroccan mountain life.
9:00 AM – Depart Marrakech
Pick-up from your accommodation or a central meeting point. Drive south toward the Atlas Mountains, passing through Tahanaout and enjoying panoramic views along the way.
10:00 AM – Scenic Stop with Optional Camel Ride
Stop in a scenic location near Asni for tea and a short camel ride (optional, extra cost). Great photo opportunity with the mountains as a backdrop!
11:00 AM – Arrival in Imlil & Meet Local Guide
Arrive in Imlil, which is the gateway to Toubkal National Park. Meet your local Berber guide and begin a gentle hike (1.5–2 hours) through terraced fields, waterfalls, and nearby villages such as Aroumd.
1:00 PM – Traditional Berber Lunch
Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at a local family home, featuring seasonal tagines, salads, and homemade bread, all with spectacular mountain views.
2:30 PM – Optional Activities
After lunch, you can choose to:
3:30 PM – Return to Marrakech
Begin the drive back through the mountains, arriving in Marrakech by around 5:00 PM.
